Founded in 2009 by lifetime restauranteur Todd Kerr and his wife, Holly, J. Macklin’s Grill is the standard for delicious Americana food in DFW. They combined experience from his first restaurant and bar just north of Coppell, The State Club Grill & Bar in Denton, and the culinary delights from their catering company, Macklin's Catering Co., to create a hub of mouthwatering food with delightful twists.
Our concepts are built on a foundation of family and community. As a team, we approach business as an art, an idea that people want to be a part of. We put tremendous care into creating a space that makes you feel comfortable the second you step foot through the door.
Starting with The State Club Grill & Bar, in the heart of Denton, Todd began sharing his love for the industry. After ten years, he sold his portion of The State Club Grill & Bar and began a new adventure with Macklin's Catering Company. Living in Coppell at the time, Todd and Holly were presented with an opportunity to open J. Macklin's Grill. Coppell expressed a desire to have a gathering space for families, couples and the community in general, so they jumped right in. Venue Forty|50 was the next step in the natrual progression of concepts developed and is the perfect destination for corporate events, social events and the new go to venue for wedding celebrations! Their newest adventure is San Daniele Italian Eatery & Bar located in Coppell, where families can gather over classic Italian meals, enjoy good wine, and engage in lively conversations.
